The Montpellier Public House is the perfect venue for any occasion. With a central location, beautiful sandstone heritage building, an interior comprising of the old world and contemporary modern, flexible opening hours, two unique dining areas, mouth-watering menus, extensive selection of wines, as well as fun, friendly and welcoming staff you honestly cannot go wrong with your decision to hold your next function at The Montpellier Public House.

The Montpellier Public House Public Bar Front Room
Open 7 days from Midday to Midnight this room is perfect for a casual lunch or dinner. Located on the ground floor at the front of the Public Bar overlooking the cross streets of Belmore & Avoca in Randwick Junction and the majestic Captain Cook statue which has resided there since the 1800′s. This room can cater for up to a maximum of 40 people for a sit down meal. We would advise that this room is not suitable if you are looking for a private room.
Matthew Kemp has designed a wonderful Chefs Selection ‘Feasting’ menu. With this menu you will receive a selection of entrees and puddings to share as well as a choice of main. We understand that there may be dietary requirements and are more than happy to accommodate these as long as we are informed in advance.
All beverages are charged on consumption and we do request that all group bookings select their wines in advance so as to ensure we will be able to provide your group for the extent of your function with your chosen wines. The Public Bar Front Room has a wonderful organic/biodynamic/sustainable wine list to make your selections from. As well as some good old ales and speciality cocktails!
The Montpellier Public House Dining Room
Is open for dinner from 6pm Tuesday to Saturday but is available for a Private Function 7 days a week from Midday to Midnight. Located on the 1st floor of The Montpellier Public House this really is a beautiful room with walls of original sandstone, wooden floorboards and a rich, warm and earthy decor. This room seats a maximum of 50 people for a sit down dinner. We would recommend thia area if you require a private room.
There are two set menu options available. A 3-Course Alternate Menu or a 3-Course Choice Menu. We understand that there may be dietary requirements and are more than happy to accommodate these as long as we are informed in advance.
All beverages are charged on consumption and we do request that all group bookings select their wines in advance so as to ensure we will be able to provide your group for the extent of your function with your chosen wines. The Dining Room has an extensive Wine List to select from.
Small Groups
We can also accommodate smaller groups in both areas of The Montpellier Public House. All groups of over 10 people are required to have one of the set menu options available depending on whether you are seated in the Public Bar Front Room or the 1st floor Dining Room.
Christmas Functions
For the month of December Matthew Kemp has created special Christmas Function Menus for all Group Bookings of over 10 people during this month. When enquiring please make sure to ask Yasmin for these.
